Free Online Screen Recorder and Editor
Record your screen and camera in the browser, edit the video, then download an MP4.
- No sign-up, no email
- No watermark
- No time limit
- Nothing to install
The recorder runs in your browser, and no part of the video goes to a server.
Hinto's online screen recorder works in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on Windows, Mac and Chromebook. Click Start recording, choose what to share, and add your camera and microphone if you want them. Trim the result and save it as an MP4. You need no account, and your video stays on your computer.
Record your screen online in three steps
Choose what to record
Pick Screen only, Screen and camera or Camera only, and check your microphone. Click Start recording, then choose a tab, a window or your entire screen in the browser's picker, unless you picked Camera only.
Stop when you finish
Click Stop in the recorder, or Stop sharing in the browser's bar. Both keep the full recording.
Edit and download
Trim the start and end, cut out a mistake, then download an MP4, a GIF or an MP3.
Capture your screen, your camera and your voice
Your screen
This screen recorder website uses the share picker your browser already has, so it needs no download and no extension. A tab share counts down from three before it starts, which gives you time to switch to the right page. Window and full-screen shares start at once.
Your camera
Three layouts
Show your camera in a bubble, side by side with the screen, or large. Pick one before you record.
A bubble you can shape
Choose a circle or a rounded square, one of three sizes and any corner, and mirror your camera if you like. After recording, you can change the layout and move or resize the bubble when your computer kept the separate camera track.
Your room, blurred or replaced
Choose Blur my room, one of the backgrounds, or your own image of up to 8 MB. Keep me in frame follows you as you move. All of it runs locally, and the recorder warns you when your browser cannot run these effects.
Your sound
Your microphone records in all four browsers. Sound from a tab or from your whole computer depends on the browser and the system.
| Browser and computer | Your microphone | Sound from a browser tab | Sound from your whole computer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chrome or Edge on Windows | Yes | Yes | Yes, when you share your entire screen |
| Chrome or Edge on a Chromebook | Yes | Yes | Yes, when you share your entire screen |
| Chrome or Edge on a Mac | Yes | Yes | Depends on your Chrome and macOS versions |
| Safari on a Mac | Yes | No | No |
| Firefox | Yes | No | No |
| Safari on an iPhone (iOS 27) | Yes | No | No |
| Android phone or older iPhone | Yes, with camera-only recording | No, camera only | No |
For a tab's sound, tick Also share tab audio in the browser's picker. For your whole computer's sound, share your entire screen and tick Also share system audio. The recorder tells you when a share arrives with no sound.
Edit and export your recording in HD
Record in HD
Pick 720p, 1080p or 1440p before you start. As an HD screen recorder, it records at 60 frames per second when your computer can encode video in hardware, and at 30 otherwise.
Trim and cut on a timeline
Drag the handles to trim the start and end, or split at the playhead and delete a piece to cut a mistake. Undo and redo as you go.
Blur anything private
Drag a box over an email address, a password or client data to hide it. The blur hides that area and leaves your camera as it is.
Zoom in on details
Drag a box to zoom into a menu or a line of text for as long as you choose on the timeline.
Crop and change the shape
Crop the picture or switch to 16:9, 9:16 or square. Add a background, then space around the picture, rounded corners and a shadow.
Export the file you need
Download an MP4, an MP3, or a set of still frames that the recorder picks where the picture changes.
Screen recording to GIF
Export the edited take as a GIF for a ticket, a chat or a README. The GIF covers the whole take, so trim it first to keep the file small.
Make your voice clear
Enhance voice is on when you export an MP4 or an MP3 and brings your voice to a steady volume. Tick Remove background noise to take out fan hum and hiss. Both run locally.
Start a recording now
You pay nothing and need no account.
Record with no download, no account and no watermark
Recording, editing and downloading all happen in this tab, with no browser extension.
Your recording survives a closed tab
The recorder writes your video to your computer in pieces as you go. Reopen this page in the same browser and it shows the recording it kept, ready to edit or download.
No time limit and no watermark
This recorder adds no watermark and has no time limit. It warns you when the browser's storage for this site runs low, and if the storage fills up, the recorder stops and keeps your file.
Recent recordings keep your takes
Your recordings and their edits wait under Recent recordings on this page. Open one to keep editing, or delete it when you finish.

Questions before you record
Answers about calls, sound, limits and where your video goes.
Yes. In Chrome or Edge, share the call's tab and tick Also share tab audio, and the recorder adds your microphone. For a desktop app such as Zoom, share your entire screen to record your computer's sound on Windows and Chromebooks, while on a Mac that depends on your Chrome and macOS versions. Ask the other people on the call before you record.
