Add and trim video clips in your articles
You can enhance your articles by converting static screenshots into dynamic video clips. This feature allows you to trim a specific segment from your original screen recording and configure its playback options, all from within the content editor.
How to create and trim a video clip
To get started, either click Edit on an existing image or add a new one. Once in the editor, you can switch from an image format to a video clip and select the exact portion you want to display.
- In the editing view, click the format dropdown in the top-left corner and select Video Clip.
- Use the handles on the timeline to drag and define the start and end points of your clip.
- Click the large play icon in the center of the preview to watch the trimmed segment and ensure it's correct.

Configuring video playback options
After trimming your clip, you can customize how it behaves in your article. Click the Options button to access the playback settings.

- AutoPlay: When enabled, the video will start playing automatically as soon as a user views the article.
- Loop: If checked, the video will automatically restart from the beginning after it finishes playing.
- Muted: This option ensures the video plays without any sound.
Finalizing and adding the clip
Once your video clip is trimmed and configured, you can download it for external use or add it directly to your article.
- Click the Download icon to save a local copy of the video clip as an MP4 file.
- Click the Done button to save your changes and insert the video clip into the article.

Tips for Using This Section
For demonstrating quick, silent actions, try enabling all three playback options: AutoPlay, Loop, and Muted. This combination creates an effect similar to an animated GIF, effectively showing a process without requiring any user interaction.
